    Shortly after France reopened to foreigners in June 2021 my wife, children (11 & 9), and I were lucky to spend a half day with Raphaelle. She was enthusiastic and seemed to be as happy to be out of COVID lockdown as we were. She seemed as comfortable with kids as with adults. Bottom line: She was a fantastic guide.
    We visited the Louvre and St. Chappelle with a walk by Notre Dame which was still closed post-fire. Her style is easy going and flexible, but don’t mistake that for any lack of knowledge. She taught us a lot about France and its history through art and architecture. She answered every question (and follow up question) we asked with great detail and passion for the subject matter. Without her we would have spent much longer in the Louvre than we did, but with less enjoyment. Her guiding and descriptions at the breathtaking St. Chappelle had many people outside of our group of 4 eavesdropping.
    Her English is great and it’s very easy to communicate with her in person and via email/text. She was always very responsive to my emails and has some nice ideas about itineraries where she wasn’t even guiding us. We had planned a second 1/2 day walking tour together, but it was raining pretty hard and she was very understanding when we decided to cancel. Without hesitation I would recommend Raphaelle’s guide services to others. She is a class act who brings the material to life.
